With spring right nearby, a lot of people are anticipating a long held tradition clean and to freshen their dwellings.
Most people are oblivious of the dangers involved in using cleaning products that are regular.
The regular cleaning product, whether it’s bleach, dish soap, air freshener, or an all purpose cleanser, contains harmful chemicals. The list continues.
That is the reason why it is so very important to “go green”, even if it’s only for your health’s sake.
National laws are now not in spot to force producers to disclose all ingredients. However, some makers do some of these ingredients to list, and only a little research will reveal which ingredients cause harm.
Simply said, green products are products that don’t contain toxins which are dangerous for your health or the environment.
There is not enough space here to list all the dangerous compounds that can be found in most cleaning products (even some of the so called “green” varieties). By the way, some of the “green” cleaning products aren’t extremely green as a result of deficiency of guidelines that have yet to be enforced by the FDA.
It’s possible for you to check products listed and ranked at the EWG site (Environmental Wellness Group http://www.ewg.org ) The EWG is now one of the leading advocacy groups for green or natural cleaning products. I Have comprised an inventory of healthy products under, to save yourself time.
I’ve spent a significant amount of time studying products, trial and error, and have found a handful of high quality products that actually floor cleaning machines are safe to use, and green.
1. EcoSense product line by Melaleuca company. This line of products is sold by a private company (Melaleuca) and you’ll not find these items in shops. It is a business that boats directly to consumers. These are the highest quality products for the best price.
3. J.R. Watkins – These products smell good and function nicely. They can be seen in some shops, and a little pricier than your typical cleaning product, but you receive an immense return on your own investment when you consider your well-being.
4. Seventh Generation Toilet Cleaner- Found in some health stores, thsee toilet cleaners have an ear their scent, but are some of the best choices for toilet cleansers because they lack harmful toxins.
5. It is made from ash and egg shells and works excellent on rougher cleaning projects. Baking soda can also be used as a scouring merchandise that was natural. Some people like to mix white distilled vinegar with baking soda to make a paste for tough areas like the oven.
DIY – White distilled vinegar works if you’re thinking about making your own products. When used correctly a great all purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, and sometimes even disinfectant. Pour a cup into your mop water and you have got a wholesome, successful floor cleanser. (Beware: there are varying opinions on using vinegar on wood or granite floors.) When using vinegar, make sure to cut on the vinegar in half and all purpose cleaner, otherwise it will not be too alkaline to use on your surfaces. The scent is… well, fairly vinegary. But the odor dissipates as it dries.
If all of this is too much, you can always hire a cleaning service that is eco-friendly to do your cleaning. The substances resonate in the air and on the surfaces while the cleaning is done even if you’re from home. Care should be taken to protect your health and the health of your family from these hazardous compounds. By just changing your products, you could be saved a lot of money and headaches down the road.
